Whether you are looking for a scenic float filled with wildlife (it is common to spot ospreys, herons, fish swimming through the crystal clear water, and even on occasion a bald eagle) or looking for an introduction to the world of river-running, the Lower Clackamas is the place for you! Beginning off of Olallie Butte and flowing through the Mt. Hood National Forest, the Clackamas River is a classic whitewater river in close proximity to Portland. This trip will take you through a tranquil stretch of easy class I-II rapids with scenic views of eagle nests and Mt. Hood. This trip lasts about 2.5 hours. The Clackamas River is about a 20 minute drive from Portland, and we will meet at Clackamette Park. eNRG will provide all the essential gear needed for the trip. All you need to bring is sun protection and some extra water!
Choose your craft on this section! We highly recommend exploring the Clackamas in an inflatable kayak(either single or tandem), where you will be sure to have a more wet and wild ride! If you are looking for a tamer experience, consider rafting (with up to 5 of your closest friends!) the river with an experienced guide. The choice is yours!
