February Newsletter PDF Print E-mail

Greetings!  We hope you have been taking advantage of the great weather we’ve had the past few weeks to get out on the river.  As you may know the snowpack in the Pacific Northwest has been incredible so far this year.  We are going to have great water spring and summer kayaking.

After a great and winter with our SE College Tour, trips to Nepal and Costa Rica, we are looking forward to another great year serving the Portland paddling community.

Check out two short videos on last fall's Clackamas River Clean-Up and Team River Runner's Costa Rica 07 Trip.

Swiftwater Rescue Workshop, March 15-16
Our 2-day Swiftwater Rescue Workshop is designed for recreational kayakers, canoeists and rafters.  We focus on teaching you safe, simple, and effective means of self-rescue and group rescue in the swiftwater environment.  You will learn through theory-based instruction and hands-on exercises.  Hear about Sam’s harrowing rescue in Nepal last fall; narrative instruction will teach you to think quickly and creatively about rescue.  This is one the most valuable investments you can make for yourself and your paddling partners at the beginning of the season. Price: $250

We are offering a half price discount to those of you who have taken an eNRG Kayaking SWR Workshop

Right now, we are offering special pricing to encourage you to get back on the water!  If you have ever taken a class with eNRG kayaking we will offer you 20% off ANY class register for in March.  If you have friends that are interested in getting started in kayaking our smaller classes during this time of the year are a great opportunity. Tell them to reference this email and they will receive an additional 10% off of any classes they register for in March. A personal referral is the highest compliment we can receive.
