Creeking Clinic May 4 - Prepare yourself for a great spring creeking season with our premier small class instructional workshop. Participation is limited to 4 students so that we may tailor our curriculum to your specific needs and desires. Topics covered include: - advanced strokes & boat control concepts - river reading for creekers - boofing theory and practice - running vertical drops - scouting, in & out of your boat - group management & communication Video analysis and individualized training progression provided at the conclusion of workshop. Course fee: $175. Skills Socials begin May 1 - Our first Skills Social of 2008 is coming up on Thursday May 1, from 6-730pm. This is a great opportunity for you to join us for a free instructional refresher, learn some new skills, meet new paddling buddies or just enjoy the river. If you have a friend or co-worker who has been dying to go kayaking, bring ‘em! Need gear for yourself or a friend? Let us know by Thursday at 3pm. We can't wait to see you all there! Video Premiere - Hotel Charley 3 - Check out the latest offering from Oregon-based filmmaker and kayaker Jesse Coombs. HC3 was filmed in Brazil, Newfoundland and India. Tuesday, April 29th @ Green Dragon Bistro and Brewpub. 928 SE 9th, between Yamhill and Belmont. Film begins at 8 pm. No admission fee. We will see you there! |
